Classes 5d & 5e


The enigmatic class 5d and 5e coins found in the Brussels Hoard are mainly from Canterbury (504 coins) and then London (168 coins). There were only 9 from Bury.  Issued around 1256-58, the reason for their unusual appearance is not yet understood.

Rev: NIC/HOL/EON/KAN - all three "N"s are reversed.    RIC:11-12 pellets/quad.
