Coin Ref # CIF3024
Obv: No sceptre, class 3 imitation, no colon. hENRICUS REX III’ Oval eyes. mm4. No necklines.
Rev: WIL/LEM/(L)VN/DOH – EM & OH ligated. (London/William)
Notes: We can tell immediately that this is an imitation as William did not commence minting at London until class 5c. There were about a dozen class 3 imitations in the Brussels Hoard relating to William at London or Canterbury – none had this exact spelling. Image courtesy of DNW, coin was offered at auction in Sept 2012 but withdrawn unsold, later sold by DNW in 2014. Appears to be from the same dies as CIF-3047.
Coin Ref # CIF3001
Obv: hENRICVS REX III' - with NR ligated. Crude central fleur. No punctuation marks after REX. Class 3ab style bust - very similar to CIF-3047 and possibly the same die. IM type 4.
Rev: DAV/IOA/LVN/DEN - EN ligated. RIC: 9.
Notes: Images courtesy of Glenn Schaap, this coin was one of 3 from lot 2936 auctioned by WAG, auction 67, 17-18 September, 2013.
Coin Ref: CIF-3048
Obv: Unusual legend - hEHRIEVSREXH - with HR ligated and no colon in the legend. Bust has an "ape-like" appearance. Unusual shaped initial mark.
Rev: hEN/RIO/NLV/NDE - EN, NL and ND ligated. The 3rd quadrant NL is unusual - instead of a pellet on the N cross-bar we see a small letter X.
Notes: A very fine example. Images courtesy of DNW - coin auctioned Feb 11th 2015. Lot # 230 - coin #2.
Obv: hEHRICVS REX IIII' - Note Henry 4th not 3rd! Also note a pellet after REX, not a colon. Indistinct initial mark.
Rev: DOI/DOI/LVH/DNI or sim. RIC: 9

Notes: An example of a good imitation. North BNJ 1995 #42. Image courtesy of DNW, coin was sold at auction in April 2014, as part of lot #272.
Obv: No sceptre, class 3 imitation, no colon. The normal hENRICUS REX III’ legend is somewhat blundered, with a single pellet after REX and a further single pellet after the 2nd I of III. Round eyes. Mintmark a little unclear but appears to have five points not six. Necklines.
Rev: hEN/RIO/NLV/NDE - with EN and ND ligated.
